Some seasons of life are worth slowing down for. The sleepy newborn snuggles, the toddler who never stops moving, and the little in-between moments that might feel ordinary now but will mean everything someday.
I spent some time with Michele, Ryan, their sweet toddler Parker, and their newest addition, Savannah, capturing their family right where life happens: at home.
With natural light streaming through the windows, we kept things simple. No stiff poses, no pressure to get the perfect shot, and definitely no expectations for everyone to sit still and smile at the camera. Instead, we let things unfold naturally, followed Parker's lead, soaked up those newborn snuggles, and made room for all the little moments in between.
We also made time for the details that made this session especially meaningful. Michele wanted to incorporate her wedding dress and their wedding rings, a beautiful way to celebrate the love story that brought their family here. And because Parker is currently all about trucks, of course we made sure those had a place in the photos, too. Because sometimes the sweetest details aren't the ones you'd plan for a traditional photoshoot. They're the little things that make this season of life uniquely yours.
That's what I love about in-home family sessions. They aren't about creating a picture-perfect version of your life. They're about capturing the life you're actually living.
The way your toddler lights up over his favorite toys. The way you hold your newborn a little closer. The familiar corners of your home where so many everyday memories are made. All the little pieces that, years from now, will take you right back to this season.
I want every session to feel less like a photoshoot and more like spending time with a friend. You don't have to worry about what to do with your hands, whether your toddler is cooperating (trust me mine isn’t either), or if everything looks perfectly put together. You just hang out and I'll take care of the rest.

From wedding-day keepsakes to toddler-approved trucks and all the sweet moments with Parker and Savannah in between, your session was such a lovely reminder that the best photographs tell the story of who you are right now.
